There are things and there are events.
We can attempt to understand these things and events.
We can never know the fullness of everything, but we can at least attempt to chip away at our ignorance.
We chip away by asking questions and each answer helps us settle the case of our ignorance.
Most people walking around, know little to nothing about almost everything. And that is because they have not asked the questions
It is almost unfathomable to conceptualize or imagine “the totality of everything that has ever been or will be.” Because, theoretically or logically, there has been every single moment from the beginning of energy and matter until today. And all of those moments have spanned across all of space.
So, see- there is that much to seek, there are that many questions to ask…You don’t have to know everything, just try to know something… just know one thing and know it well- and that foundation will be tied to the essence of the ultimate truth.
Everything in existence possesses the elements of the essential nature of things.
If one is curious, there are an infinite amount of questions that can be asked merely addressing past events and the past existence of things. Never mind addressing the perpetually evaporating present or the future and its possibilities.
If we live a life of thinking and questioning, our mind and spirit will never be bored.
If we build connections based on the answers we find, we can begin to understand the commonalities and differences between all living things as well as the parallels between events.
We can feel the presence of the life force that weaves us all together.
We are brought closer to the true nature of things, we are brought closer to the beginning…and, closer to God.
Below an excerpt from the New American Standard Bible:
Matthew 7:
7 “[g]Ask, and it will be given to you; [h]seek, and you will find; [i]knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or what person is there among you [j]who, when his son asks for a loaf of bread, [k]will give him a stone? 10 Or [l]if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? 11 So if you, despite being [m]evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
12 “In everything, therefore, [n]treat people the same way you want [o]them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
