Christianity vs. The State

🚫 Can the radical non-coercive Christianity of the Beatitudes and Sermon on the Mount ever serve as the operating system for a large centralized state?

Using pure logic (no theology, no opinions), I test it against what every country needs to function at scale — and the answer is clear: structural incompatibility.

Islam and Judaism include complete legal codes with rulers, courts, taxes, punishment, and defense — making them fully compatible with governing nations.

Christianity? Its core demands zero coercion, enemy-love, and turning the other cheek.

It shines brightest in decentralized societies, small voluntary communities, and strong families — but centralization (more taxes, surveillance, wars, and bureaucracy) forces daily compromises with Jesus’ revolutionary commands.

We also look at America’s shift from limited republic toward centralized empire and what this means for Christians today.
The healthiest path?

Support limited, decentralized government with secure borders and rule of law — so the state handles minimal coercion while Christians freely live mercy, forgiveness, and non-resistance in their communities.
